OHFA/Urban Institute Stakeholder Engagement Meeting

The Office of Multifamily, Development Division invites you to a stakeholder engagement meeting with the Urban Institute regarding the Neighborhood Opportunity, Housing Needs, and Neighborhood Change Indices for the 2026 9% Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP) and other programs.

Public Comment on FY 2026 Annual Plan

The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) has posted the draft Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Annual Plan for public comment. Public comments may be submitted from May 1 until 5 p.m. on Friday, May 30. The purpose of the 30-day public comment period is to obtain input from any interested party regarding the proposed strategic initiatives identified in the draft.

Comments will be received until 5 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2025, and may be emailed to ohfapublichearing@ohiohome.org or mailed to:

Niles Senior Housing, Niles, Trumbull County, Ohio

The State of Ohio published a Combined Notice of Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) and Notice of Intent to Request Release of Funds (NOI/RROF) regarding the Niles Senior Housing on April 28, 2025.

On or about, but not before, May 14, 2025, the State of Ohio will submit a request to the U.S. Department Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the release of Federal funds under Section 288 of Title II of the Cranston Gonzalez National Affordable Housing Act (NAHA), as amended to be used for the following project:

Project Name: Niles Senior Housing
Developer: Neighborhood Development Services, Inc.
Location: Niles, Trumbull County

Project Description:
Niles Senior Housing, located along Youngstown Warren Road in Niles, Ohio will consist of the new construction of a three-story senior housing apartment building situated on a 3-acre parcel in a neighborhood in the eastern portion of Niles, Ohio. Niles Senior Housing will feature 42 one-bedroom units, 100% set aside for seniors aged 55 and older.

Federal/State HOME Funds:              $1,169,762

Total Project Cost Estimate:              $11,296,576

The State of Ohio has determined that the project will have no significant impact on the human environment. Any individual, group, or agency may submit written comments on the environmental review record via email to the State of Ohio at OCD@development.ohio.gov. All comments received before May 14, 2025, will be considered by the State of Ohio prior to authorizing submission of a request for release of funds.
